What religion are you and how do you feel about your religion and other religions?

I'm in the eighth grade and for my exit project I decided to do a study on religion because it's one of the most interesting topics I've found. I have two issues with it and that is how the school feels about me deciding to speak about religion and offending anyone of a particular religion. The exit project has to be part of American History although it can be branched from other countries as long as it relates to America.



Exit Question: How did religious beliefs affect the lives of people in the past and what is it like today?



-I was wondering what religion anyone is and how they feel about that religion, perhaps opposed to another ( e.g. Atheism vs. Christianity ).

-Why you chose to practice this religion and if there is a particular way it is preformed, please explain

-Does your opinion change views of people when they are aware of it



This is probably part 1, but thanks for answering. =]What religion are you and how do you feel about your religion and other religions?I am Roman Catholic, because my family is puerto rican and i'm pretty sure all puerto ricans are catholic haha.

even if i wasnt catholic by birth though, i think i still would be. i think that the belief in God and a being that would give up it's life just to make room for more life is fascinating. and the masses (services) are so elaborate. i like feeling like humans are a part of something bigger.. i think being atheist would probably depress me. i mean, a lot of people say religion doesn't make sense to them, and i can see that. but atheism makes the least sense of all to me.

the belief that we are just here because that's just the way it is seems kind of ridiculous. i think there is something else going on in the universe and i'm not sure if any religion really got it totally right, but i'll stick with catholicism.

Atheism is not a religion. A better religion to oppose christianity would be islam. (the two most popular in the world)

I have no religion and I'm fine with all of them, as long as they don't try shoving their inane fairy tales down the throats of everyone who doubts them.

I think all religion is a joke.
I consider myself to be a spiritual warrior. I am not affiliated with any organized religion or philosophy in the world. My main goal in life is to accumulate as much spiritual knowledge as possible. I derive my main sources of inspiration from various religious texts from around the world even though I don't apply any religious label to myself whatsoever. Aside from the attainment of knowledge it is my intention to be as happy as possible with what my situation permits. Right now I'm devising a meditation plan and I will be beginning tai chi tomorrow. So I believe I'm on the right road although I admit this road is wrought with twists and turns and can somewhat be an uneven surface to walk on. Despite all of that I shall persevere in my quest. I am Muslim, not because that my parents are muslim but I saw other religion ppls and compared with my religion and found that this is the best way of life and Islam teach as per human nature all about daily life all about our social life, how to deal with other, how to respect elder, how to love children, how to give importance our parents in our life see Islam don't teach racism as per Islam all humans are born from one man and all human are equal no one is superior only those who obey GOD (Allah) who spend their life as per GOD's commandment they are superior then other only this is the difference but not on wealth basis or power basis because Islam teach that super power is only One GOD and all power goes to him, if we compare Islam with other religion they create conflict with natural human life but Islam don't do this so i never thought to convert Islam means peace live with peace and let them other people with peace if any people don't do this it means he or they are not follower islam they are follower of satan who is the big enemy of human so I am not saying all this to inspire you and nor I am inviting you that join Islam I am just sincerely saying that why I am muslim and what effect Islam in our life.

compared to others i found this more accepting of who i am ( a single mother) and they support me

i prefer my religion over others but that is because of the welcome i received when i first went, i know that i have the redeeming grace of God who loves me despite my circumstances

there is no particular way it is performed but there is things we do such as prayer, fasting and the study of the bible.

my opinion has become more accepting of others rather than less because i see that everyone is loved by God and all are Gods children so i should accept them
I believe that %26quot;The Way%26quot; is trancendant. I think the father teaches the son and the mother teaches daughter and it is by the will of God that Christ becomes a living part of life. Such is my case, my mother's mother's mother's who I know some of her descendants still exist Knew God since the beginning. For Christians the world passes by, and like a covenant we are protected from beliefs that affect other nations. Today we are in the harvesting time. In America, people have taken liberty to another level the right to freedom allow people to chose no God and some insist they need no help from others to understand a deception. As a christian, we are obligated to help others to accept the truth. But the truth is so mystical to the unbeliever that the lie that evil plants in peoples mind makes the person think Christianity is all hocus pocus. You mention practice but I don't practice christianity. I live it in the best way that I can. Again I said The Way is through Our Lord Jesus Christ. I got what God gave me and if there's a way then I don't know. I know that what Jesus wants from me is to let The Word be known. My responsibility is to tell whoever that listens that Jesus is the Son of God. That there is Good News in the Holy Bible. To read the Gospels and show those who do not know how to and where to find it. After this point, God, the Son and the Holy Spirit will take the yoke from me. That is how many will be saved. Trusting and loving God with their hearts. The Bible is a free gift. Inside these pages lays the treasures to your heart. For all the other religions of this world, they work only for a time because the world is temporal. What makes my religion real is the promise. What other religion promises eternal and everlasting life and salvation? Not Karma, Not nirvana, but a God that comes with open arms. What kind of love can I give a God who is love. What kind of sensation can anyone ask for if that feeling is so immense that God says love is happiness, joy, peace, and if you've had these feelings once in your lifetime then you've met God.
