What is highschool like?

I am going to be in 10th grade next year, and I started homeschooling last october, so I only went to highschool for about 1 month, so I really dont know what it is like there from only one month of experience, so I am wondering what is it like, how much homework do you get, when I was there, the amount of homework was the same as middle school. And when do you get to change your classes, and what is GPA, people were talking about that.What is highschool like?GPA is grade point average. Its the average of your grades from all your classes.

Its the same as middle school, except theres more and harder work, not to mention volunteering, SAT and PSAT, and college applications. You get to change your classes when they give you the scheduling sheet to do so. Or if you have a good reason you can go to guidence to get classes changed. Its definately an interesting experience. Im a junior now. 2 years left!!

It depends on the difficulty of the classes you take. If you take easy courses, the work load will be light. If you take harder classes, the workload and difficulty will be much more intense.



Highschool varies on daily schedules. Mine, for an example, has 4 periods in one day. In two quarters, you complete one course that is usually a year long. Some schools still have the 7 period schedules, but they can't fill in as many classes as you could a block schedule. (block schedule=my school's schedule)
What is highschool like?
High school is realy fun! You'll love it. Just remember to be yourself and not give into what other people want you to be. I would participate in a club or sport, you'll have more fun, stay busy, and make alot of friends. GPA is grade point average like 4.0 is good it means all A's. The better your grades the higher your GPA. The hw load is about the same as middle school, it all depends on your classes and teachers tho. You usualy change your classes at the begining of the year. Highschool is awesome, don't be nervous at all, your going to have a blast!
