Can a college change it's decision after it has accepted you?
Apply to as many as you can, although they take into account your grade 11 marks, its mostly the grade 12 midterm marks they decide. Once you are accepted they will most likely give you a conditional acceptance, meaning you must keep a minimum grade of __ to still be accepted. Otherwise they have the right to revoke your acceptance. If you accept their offer of enrollment and they revoke it, you cannot accept other college if the deadline is due and must wait at least another semester before applying again.
Can a college change it's decision after it has accepted you?
Colleges will look at the first 3 yrs and pending 1st term of senior year. They'll want to know what classes you plan to take to make sure you have what you need for college.
Colleges can admit on probation. If you need 4yrs of English and you fail the 4th year they can take back their acceptance b/c you no longer meet the requirements for entrance into their program.
You should apply to several universities and to a few community colleges. This will give you a safety net. As for applying to universities, yes, it is probably to late to apply again. Applying to community colleges would typically still be an option. Typically, they have an open enrollment period up until the end of the first week of classes.
As for grades dropping. This is not unrealistic. Many students feel they can slack off or do slack off because it's near the end. Thus, they end up failing...and colleges want to prevent this b/c there is vital information given in these classes which you need to build on for college.
Good luck!
Basically colleges pay most attention to your sophomore and junior year grades. Whenever you apply in your senior year, you submit your senior grades as %26quot;in process%26quot;. If you are accepted to the university, they will ask you to send your transcript. This is to see whether or not you slacked off in your senior year (as in to see whether or not you're truly a serious student). If you receive anything lower than a passing grade of a C (i think there is a limit on how many, varying from school to school), they may take back your acceptance. :[
