**How Important is the rigor of your school record when applying to a univeristy?

I just want to know, because I may have to change my schedule. I have good grades, haven't taken the ACT or SAT yet. This may be my only downside.

Thanks!!**How Important is the rigor of your school record when applying to a univeristy? The more-competitive colleges will look at how many AP courses you have taken compared with how many were available to you. In other words, did you challenge yourself or take the easy road?
**How Important is the rigor of your school record when applying to a univeristy?
Colleges are looking for students who are leaders and who push themselves. So taking honors and AP level classes look very good to colleges.

Are these good lyrics?

Do you like these lyrics? I'm in 6th grade, so dont be too mean. Well, thanx for your opinion.

Roller Coaster Ride

You say yes

Then no

Your always changing your mind

Sometimes fast,

Sometimes slow,

We go up and down

Now we鈥檙e turning around

Oh look

We鈥檙e upside down

Yeah, you never know what to expect

But, hey, you know what they say,

Chorus:

We鈥檙e like a roller coaster ride

There was a corkscrew there

We鈥檒l hope it鈥檚 slow for some time

I鈥檓 gonna pray

That some day

I will have it my way

Cause my life would be mended

The ride would have ended

And all we鈥檇 ever have to be

Is you and me

But right now that鈥檚 not true

There is no me and you

I鈥檓 still sick of waking up to find

That once again you鈥檝e changed your mind

And maybe in the end

You could become my friend

But I鈥檓 not gonna beg on my knees

Go ahead, do whatever you please

But just think how you could stop this ride

Although, 1000 times I鈥檝e tried

But, hey, you know what they say.

Chorus:

We鈥檙e like a roller coaster ride

There was a corkscrew there

We鈥檒l hope it鈥檚 slow for some time

I鈥檓 gonna pray

That some day

I will have it my way

Cause my life would be mended

The ride would have ended

And all we鈥檇 ever have to be

Is you and me (x2)

You and me

You and me

(slowly fade out, repeat as many times as needed)Are these good lyrics?sounds like some good high energy lyrics. are u in a band, do u play an instrument? yaya keep it up kiddo!
Are these good lyrics?
nope
Are these good lyrics?
Dont listen to these doofs above me that say its not good. I think its pretty damn awesome.
I say yea becuz these words represent what has happened to me before.
Well, they're not great, but considering your age, they're pretty damn good. I probably couldn't write at that level in sixth grade; keep it up!
that was very good u are very talented don't let anyone bring u down and whoeva say other wise for get them they aint nobody

  • Scene kids: how do you change groups? who to pick as your friends when you turn scene?

alright heres the deal; i want to become scene, everyone says i fit the part, and as far as im concerned, i basically am scene (i just need to get the makeup down.) but all of my friends except for one are NOT scene. and im going into 7th grade. and everyone knows that scene kids usually only hang out with their own group. and there arent a lo of scene girls and boys that go to my school. so i wanted to know who should i choose to be my friends (the emos/skaters or whatever) and how should i exactly change... %26quot;cliques.%26quot; ughh that word is ****** annoying. so i wanna know how other scene kids changed groups or whatever :DScene kids: how do you change groups? who to pick as your friends when you turn scene?no matter what clique your in it shouldn't matter what clique your friends are in people should like you for you not for they way you dress or who your friends with. No one likes scene kids anyways there all fakes that just try to be cool and fit in be yourself and thats how you get true friends.
Scene kids: how do you change groups? who to pick as your friends when you turn scene?
you are in 7th i didn't know all that crap existed yet

i am pretty sure if your friends are your friends you should still be friends with them. why dump your old friends if you just change your style?
Scene kids: how do you change groups? who to pick as your friends when you turn scene?
    Wait until high school.
Why would you want to be %26quot;scene%26quot; at all? Just be yourself, it sounds lame but you would be more lame to change you friends just because they aren't %26quot;scene%26quot;.

Dress how you want do your makeup how you want just don't try to conform to some group of people who think they are better then everyone else because their hair is big and their pants are tight.
this is the stupidest question ive ever seen

    enough said
Okay, so you think the word cliques is annoying, but you don't think scene is annoying? You're obviously trying to be someone your not like the other 60% of our population. Be yourself. You shouldn't diss your real friends just because of your style, and who people say 'scene kids' should hang out with. If you like stuff that supposedly 'scene kids' like then fine, but don't call yourself scene and don't change your friends, hair, fashion, style, opinion, etc. just because that's what 'a true scene' is supposed to do.

I know this is in the wrong section but I'm not getting responses anywhere else... For my 11th grade English class I had to write a college applicant essay on the topic “something that has happened and how it changed your life” it had to be around 300 words so please tell me what I could take out. Please grade this essay and tell me what grade it got. Thanks a lot!

Waking up to your cousin's voice saying %26quot;they took your mom away in an ambulance,%26quot; is one of the worst ways to wake up; especially when you are only seven years old. On the night my mom was taken to the hospital many tests were run on her to see why she suddenly had a very violent seizure. Soon after, they diagnosed her with a cancerous brain tumor. She held strong through all the surgeries and chemotherapy sessions that went on for two years. After all the miserable hospital visits she got tired of it and wanted to stay home and forget about treatment - the doctor gave her three months to live. It was almost impossible to crawl out of bed every morning just because I knew that my mom might not be with me anymore. She lived for another six months before she finally passed away. I woke up one morning and walked into the living room where my mom had been living for four months, too weak to walk into her bedroom. My grandmother's eyes were misty and I could tell something was wrong. My dad softly called me over and I shook my head and turned to leave. No news was best for me. My dad called my name again and I turned and walked over to him. He gently sat me on his lap and told me that my mom hadn't made it through the night. I blinked back tears as I ran from the room. I went in my closet and cried. Now I look back at my nine year old self and realize that I knew it was coming, but nobody could ever be prepared for that. My dad taught me not to give up on those you love, but to help them through things the best you can. He was always there for my mom and for us kids. He took care of my mom, the house, and us, and even worked from home so he could be right there. I learned about the will to live and the value of life from my mom who wanted to hold on long enough for us to remember her. This experience in my life has made me stronger. I still go through rough times but I know the importance of looking at the positive side of things. My life was changed forever, but my experience has left me with a positive attitude on life and I thank my mom and dad for it.

PLZ!! Help me with this?i went ahead and changed a few things.

How many words is this? This is excellent by the way.

But if you need less words you can take out when you tried leaving the room and/or hiding in your closet? Just a suggestion.

It was a very moving read though. I liked it... that sounds kinda mean... :/

I give it an A definitely.

Please read this essay!?!!?Very nice essay. I'd give u an A-. You had a great opening and closing. It was interesting and sympathetic - studies show that when there is sad %26quot;sob%26quot; story, the teachers tend to give you a better grade. Im assuming you captolization is not what you wrote, because in the first line, %26quot;they%26quot; should be captilized. Also needs better punctuation - you hold back on your commas. If that is not what is really on your computer because you typed it fast, you get A- because your vocabulary is about an 8'th grader's (no offense) and you need better openings than %26quot;I%26quot; %26quot;My Dad%26quot; %26quot;My Life%26quot; %26quot;My grandmothers%26quot; and ya. You need more variety.

Very touching! I really think you did a great job!
wow. you have great writing skills and it hits the heart, which is kinda cheap for college applications, but it works. i would give you a 90 on it
    combine the sentences %26quot;My dad softly called me over andi shook my head....%26quot;

    instead say %26quot;As my dad attempted to beckon me to him, i turned to leave, fearing my oldest nightmare was about to come true; but h called my name again.%26quot;

its a great and moving essay. If it were up to me, I wouldn't cut any part out. However, you can shorten sentences (like i did) and combine them. Remeber, it doesn't matter how long words are; people tend to limit themselves to their most basic vocabulary when editing. good luck!

    Assignment # 4:

Biochemical Changes In Brain and Other Tissues of Young Adult Female Mice From Fluoride In Adult Female Adult Female from Fluoride in Their Drinking Water

    1. Q: Who conducted the current study?

A: Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal conducted the current study (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006).

    2. Q: What is (are) the source(s) of study funding, if any?

A: The study does not mention any source of funding (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006).

    3. Q: What is the overall purpose of this study?

A: The overall purpose of this study is to study the effects of two different F concentrations in drinking water on neurotransmitter enzymes, antioxidant enzymes, and lipid peroxidation in mice (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006).

    4. Q: What is the research strategy used (i.e., Experiment, Survey, Field Research, and/or Secondary Data Analysis)?

A: The research strategy used is “experimental”, yet it is really a pre-experimental design since it has a risk of confounding due to no randomization designed. If randomization were used then there would be a genuine experimental design and control for confounding (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006).

    5. Q: What type of study is conducted? (e.g., Exploratory, Explanatory, Descriptive)

A: The type of study that is being conducted is a combination of exploratory and explanatory (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006).

    6. Q: What is the unit being studied?

A: The unit being studies is one-month old female Swiss albino mice (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006).

    7. Q: What are the independent and dependent variables? Are manipulation checks used for the independent variable? How are the independent variable and dependent variables operationalized?

A: The independent variables are body parts, which consist of the brain, liver, and calf, and the second independent variable is group assignment. The dependent variable is AchE (DOD), BchE (DOD), SOD (% inhibition of NBT reduction), CAT (mmoles H2O2 utilized/min/mg of protein), MDA (nmoles/mL), Ascorbic acid (mg/100mL), and Total protein (mg/mL) (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006). Manipulation checks are used for the independent variables. The independent variable was operationalized by. The dependent variables was operationalized by having biochemical estimated by using standard methods to conduct for AchE (E.C. 3.1.1.7.) (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006).

    8. Q: State the null hypotheses (cf., tables1-3).

A: Fluoride level in drinking water has no impact on antioxidants levels, neurotransmitters, total protein level, and vitamin level in the brain, liver, and/ or calf muscle (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, %26amp; Vimal, 2006).

    9. What types of sample are employed in the study? Briefly, describe the samples and sample design. Are the samples strong on external validity?

A: The types of sample that are employed in the study are. The sample design is not known in the study. .The samples are strong are not strong on external validity.

    10. Q: What is the study population?

A: The study population is ambiguous and not clearly stated (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006).

    11. Q: How are data collected?

A: Using a standardized procedure lab specimen techniques were used to collect data (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006). The mice were divided into three groups: control (n=10), experimental group E1 (n= 15), E2 (n= 15). Each mouse was caged separately. Control group mice were given deionized, defluoridated water (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006). Mice in the E1 group were given 60 ppm F (from 132.6 mg NaF/L) in their drinking water while those in the E2 group were given 120 ppm F (from 265.2) mgNaF/L) in their drinking water (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006). After 30 days all the mice were weighed and sacrificed by cervical decapitation (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006). The brain, liver, and gastrocnemius muscles were dissected out and place on chilled glass plates, dried, and weighed (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006). Brains were cut into two sagital pieces with the help of surgical blade, and the hippocampus was dissected out under a stereomicroscope (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Meena, Barbar, Chouhan, and Vimal, 2006). Tissues of at least three animals were pooled to prepare enough sample for biochemical estimation (Bhatnagar, Rao, Saxena, Bhatnagar, MeeWhat would your grade be for this paper for a social science research paper that i am just summarizing and an?If you just summarize don't expect to get an A or B.

    and

A hot air balloon changes its altitude to 2 200 feet in 50 minutes. what is the rate of change in altitude?Math problem 3 i need your help to pass 7th grade please?1st question: Same as the first answerer said. You need to find how many cabinets they can make in 40 min divided by the amount of cabinets they made. So:

    Sonny = 1/40 Tito = 1/20 or 2/40 (add them)

    Total = 3 cabinets in 40 minutes so 40/3 = 13.3 min

2nd Question: You need to find the feet which the balloon flies up per minute. So you go

    2200/50 = 44 feet per minute or 44f/min
Math problem 3 i need your help to pass 7th grade please?
    1/40+1/20= 3/40 ( 1 min work)

therefore in 40/3 mins they 'll complete the work ( reciprocal)

Is my friend to smart for his own good?

Well to start, report cards came out. My friend was thinking how bad his grades were an he decided he didnt want an *** woopin.

So he decided to change his. Couldnt be the ones they send home because they have special bars an crap so he thought outside of the box and at school teachers have access to your grades an can print up a simple form of your classes an grades on normal paper. So he got one of those waited for the other one to be sent home so he could take it an destroy it. Scans it puts it on the computer edits the grades to normal ones A's B's etc and keeps the F because he will have summer school an if his report card says other wise then he will get cought. so he changed his other grades to higher so he could explain to his parents math was just really hard an that would clear the madness of the F not just all D's and F's. waits the next day an gives it to his parents an he doesnt get in trouble and his parents were glad to give him math help. Clever or is he a smart dumbassIs my friend to smart for his own good?Basically, he'll probably get away with it with his parents... but the truth will come out when he either:

    1) flunks

    or

    2) can't get any good grades in later classes because he didn't understand the basic stuff.

So sure, he might have saved himself some strife with the parents now... but as time goes on... it will show.
Is my friend to smart for his own good?
A very dumbass thing to do. He'll get caught.
Is my friend to smart for his own good?
Depends on if the parents notice that they don't ever get the official grades or not. I don't know how intuitive his parents are, but if they see at the end of the year that he has F's and D's, they are going to wonder how they got so low after the A's and B's.

The skool is about to screw your grade over.?

our school is now changing from a semester system to a linear system.

Semester : take 1/2 classes one semester, the rest in the 2nd semester (harder to organize, but allows kids more flexibility in planning their courses)

Linear: take all the classes at the same time, but alturnating days.

Not only will grade 12's next year (meaning us gr 11's) have 7-8 exams each worth 40% of our mark, some of us who planned to take grade 11 courses in the first semester and grade 12 courses in the second semester are screwed and connot get into post-secondary schools because we have not taken the required courses.

What is worse is that the principal (who is new and went to a linear system school before) purposely IGNORES all comments by the grade 11s and PRETENDS NOT TO HEAR THEM. the decision was made without asking teachers or students and it was basically a %26quot;this will be how it is%26quot; thing. It was decided by the School board, but our principal has the final say.

What do u think? The skool is about to screw your grade over.?Jesus...

Normally I don't like people who instigate lawsuits, but you have a case here. I would complain, complain, complain. If they don't or won't hear you, then sue, sue, sue! They cannot screw up these kid's futures!

    MAKE YOURSELF HEARD!!!
The skool is about to screw your grade over.?
Seems to be the nonsense reorganizations that schools go through every few years. Purpose appears to be to avoid facing the real education problems.
The skool is about to screw your grade over.?
My school used to have the same thing, it wasn't too horrible. But now we are on a trimester system. Where we take classes for 2/3 of the year. Forever and a day my band teacher has been trying to get it changed because kids end up with all electives one trimester and all core classes the very last (the predicament I am in now) We have the same issue, that everyone wants to go to semesters but the board is ignoring us.

So the linear system will suck as your transitioning but once you get into it, it won't be to bad. But then again it really depends on how many periods you have.

Yes, your school is messed up for leaving semesters. this makes it especially hard for students entereing or moving away from the school. So hopefully they realize this and fast.

I can't really give tell how it has had an impact on YOUR life.

Confused on how to plan out my future?

I'm 13 years old and I'm in grade eight. I will start grade nine next year except the conditions in the place I live are really annoying. Well let鈥檚 just say the high school that I can go to (the one that follows the same curriculum as I do right now) is about 2 hours away from the place I live in. Everyone does that but not everyone plans like me and I want the best for myself so I prefer not considering what everyone else does. The problem is, most people change schools (go to the one 2 hours away) in grade 10 because they think it's better to stay away from the crazy hassle as much as possible. I would do the same except the problem is that I always need a year to adjust to a new school, EVEN IF THEY'RE FOLLOWING THE SAME CURRICULUM AS ME! So I'm not sure if I should go and change schools in grade 9 or 10. I personally want to go in grade 9 but I'm not sure if I'm just wasting my efforts by going earlier than most people go. I want to get into a good university to be a good doctor, which means I NEED high grades. Right now my grades aren't so bad. This year I'm working a lot harder and my report card is due next week or so. But from previous experiences, I know I'll do well; last year my report card throughout the year was the same; 7 A's and 1 B. If I go in grade 10, I might mess up on my grades and I can't do that at any cost because grade 10 grades DEFINITELY matter a lot. If I go in grade 9, I don't mind messing up a little because some universities don't even look at your grade 9 grades. And I want to go in grade 9 because by grade 10 I'll be used to the hectic travelling back and forth and all, so I'll probably have more energy to stay after school and join extracurricular activities because as everyone knows, grades aren't the only thing universities look at. And one more thing, some universities don't even look at your grade 10 grades so if I actually do well in grade 10 by adjusting to the environment and all the year before, don't I increase my chances of getting accepted into a better university?Confused on how to plan out my future?i think you should go in grade nine so as you said you can get used to the travelling and you would increase your chances of getting accepted into a better university =)

    A Research On Sleep Deprivation?

I'm doing a research on Sleep Deprivation, and I'd like some personal answers/own experiences to the following questions(I have my own answers, but i'd like to compare them to others if you have the time) :

    1. How has sleep deprivation affected your life?

    2. If you're in school, do you feel your grades could improve? Why or why not?

    3. Has lack of sleep ever affected your performance in an acitivity?

    4. What do you do that contribute most to your sleep deprivation? What can you change to fir 9-8hours into your schedule?

    5. What are some time managment strategies you could use?

You don't have to answer all of them, (I know I wouldn't even want to.) Just 1 or maybe even 2 would be a big help. Put the number in front though.

    Ex:

    1. Sleep Deprivation affected my life by,...

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. :) %26lt;3A Research On Sleep Deprivation?I was a Neurology Dept Secy for a long time when I was younger--they studied sleep and sleep deprivation a lot at the University of Missouri-Columbia Campus.

(l.) If you have lack of sleep, you will get it somehow. Maybe your brain will shut off while driving and you'll go through a red light (a man did this to my sister--she was the second car that should have been able to go through a green light). Maybe you'll be in school and miss half he lecture because you can't hold focus.

    (2.) See above

(3.) See (1.) above. Also, if you're tired, do you do as well in gym class, respond as quickly, realize what is happening around you as quickly? Answer, no.

(4.) I stay up at night as if I'm going to miss something important. I don't like getting up in the morning--could care less what's going on. However, at night I have energy. It's the opposite for my husband. He likes getting up very early and starting the day. He lets me sleep since I'm grouchy if he drags me out of sleep and I don't have to get up yet (such as for work).

    (5.) I wish I had trained since I was younger to have the fortitude to just say: %26quot;It's time for bed. I'm going to bed now.%26quot;

What religion are you and how do you feel about your religion and other religions?

I'm in the eighth grade and for my exit project I decided to do a study on religion because it's one of the most interesting topics I've found. I have two issues with it and that is how the school feels about me deciding to speak about religion and offending anyone of a particular religion. The exit project has to be part of American History although it can be branched from other countries as long as it relates to America.

Exit Question: How did religious beliefs affect the lives of people in the past and what is it like today?

-I was wondering what religion anyone is and how they feel about that religion, perhaps opposed to another ( e.g. Atheism vs. Christianity ).

-Why you chose to practice this religion and if there is a particular way it is preformed, please explain

-Does your opinion change views of people when they are aware of it

This is probably part 1, but thanks for answering. =]What religion are you and how do you feel about your religion and other religions?I am Roman Catholic, because my family is puerto rican and i'm pretty sure all puerto ricans are catholic haha.

even if i wasnt catholic by birth though, i think i still would be. i think that the belief in God and a being that would give up it's life just to make room for more life is fascinating. and the masses (services) are so elaborate. i like feeling like humans are a part of something bigger.. i think being atheist would probably depress me. i mean, a lot of people say religion doesn't make sense to them, and i can see that. but atheism makes the least sense of all to me.

the belief that we are just here because that's just the way it is seems kind of ridiculous. i think there is something else going on in the universe and i'm not sure if any religion really got it totally right, but i'll stick with catholicism.

sorry if this totally doesn't answer your question at all haha i realized after that i kind of started rambling :/
What religion are you and how do you feel about your religion and other religions?
Atheism is not a religion. A better religion to oppose christianity would be islam. (the two most popular in the world)
What religion are you and how do you feel about your religion and other religions?
I have no religion and I'm fine with all of them, as long as they don't try shoving their inane fairy tales down the throats of everyone who doubts them.
    Atheist (it's not a religion)

I think all religion is a joke.
I consider myself to be a spiritual warrior. I am not affiliated with any organized religion or philosophy in the world. My main goal in life is to accumulate as much spiritual knowledge as possible. I derive my main sources of inspiration from various religious texts from around the world even though I don't apply any religious label to myself whatsoever. Aside from the attainment of knowledge it is my intention to be as happy as possible with what my situation permits. Right now I'm devising a meditation plan and I will be beginning tai chi tomorrow. So I believe I'm on the right road although I admit this road is wrought with twists and turns and can somewhat be an uneven surface to walk on. Despite all of that I shall persevere in my quest. Peace!
I am Muslim, not because that my parents are muslim but I saw other religion ppls and compared with my religion and found that this is the best way of life and Islam teach as per human nature all about daily life all about our social life, how to deal with other, how to respect elder, how to love children, how to give importance our parents in our life see Islam don't teach racism as per Islam all humans are born from one man and all human are equal no one is superior only those who obey GOD (Allah) who spend their life as per GOD's commandment they are superior then other only this is the difference but not on wealth basis or power basis because Islam teach that super power is only One GOD and all power goes to him, if we compare Islam with other religion they create conflict with natural human life but Islam don't do this so i never thought to convert Islam means peace live with peace and let them other people with peace if any people don't do this it means he or they are not follower islam they are follower of satan who is the big enemy of human so I am not saying all this to inspire you and nor I am inviting you that join Islam I am just sincerely saying that why I am muslim and what effect Islam in our life.
    Christian- pentecostal

compared to others i found this more accepting of who i am ( a single mother) and they support me

i prefer my religion over others but that is because of the welcome i received when i first went, i know that i have the redeeming grace of God who loves me despite my circumstances

there is no particular way it is performed but there is things we do such as prayer, fasting and the study of the bible.

my opinion has become more accepting of others rather than less because i see that everyone is loved by God and all are Gods children so i should accept them
I believe that %26quot;The Way%26quot; is trancendant. I think the father teaches the son and the mother teaches daughter and it is by the will of God that Christ becomes a living part of life. Such is my case, my mother's mother's mother's who I know some of her descendants still exist Knew God since the beginning. For Christians the world passes by, and like a covenant we are protected from beliefs that affect other nations. Today we are in the harvesting time. In America, people have taken liberty to another level the right to freedom allow people to chose no God and some insist they need no help from others to understand a deception. As a christian, we are obligated to help others to accept the truth. But the truth is so mystical to the unbeliever that the lie that evil plants in peoples mind makes the person think Christianity is all hocus pocus. You mention practice but I don't practice christianity. I live it in the best way that I can. Again I said The Way is through Our Lord Jesus Christ. I got what God gave me and if there's a way then I don't know. I know that what Jesus wants from me is to let The Word be known. My responsibility is to tell whoever that listens that Jesus is the Son of God. That there is Good News in the Holy Bible. To read the Gospels and show those who do not know how to and where to find it. After this point, God, the Son and the Holy Spirit will take the yoke from me. That is how many will be saved. Trusting and loving God with their hearts. The Bible is a free gift. Inside these pages lays the treasures to your heart. For all the other religions of this world, they work only for a time because the world is temporal. What makes my religion real is the promise. What other religion promises eternal and everlasting life and salvation? Not Karma, Not nirvana, but a God that comes with open arms. What kind of love can I give a God who is love. What kind of sensation can anyone ask for if that feeling is so immense that God says love is happiness, joy, peace, and if you've had these feelings once in your lifetime then you've met God.

How's the education system in your country?

Okay, I'll try to be as clear as possible. I need to know what age studies in what year/grade in your country, when you have all the major exams, when you switch from primary to secondary school, when are your semester breaks, when does your school year start etc.

    Example:

In Malaysia, school year starts in the first week of January.

    3-6 : kindergarten (optional)

    7-12: primary school standard 1-6

at 12 years old, we have the first government exam (or how you put it) or UPSR somewhere in Sept.

Then we go to secondary school. (either you change school or you remain at your primary school, assuming it has a secondary school as well, which is rare)

    13-15: Form 1-3

Then we have PMR in Oct, which basically determines which streamline you're going. this age group is know as lower secondary

    16-17: Form 4-5

at 17, we'll have SPM in Nov, then it's either on to Form 6 which lasts for 1 and a half years or A levels etc. (pre-U courses)

That's about how I need to know it, except that I would be really grateful if you can include any extra details like, when do you opt for which subjects you want, what are the compulsory subjects to take. I know that in some countries you separate the groups into elementary school, middle school and high school. Can you (if you happen to come from such a country) explain more about that?

Plus, I'm from Malaysia so no offense but I don't think I'll need more info from my own country.

ThanksHow's the education system in your country? It varies some in the United States. Kindergarten starts at age 5, but some schools recommend an additional year wait for those that are not socially prepared. Many areas have Pre-K. for younger kids who are ready early. Primary used to be 1 to 6, but 6th has been added to Jr. Highs and they have turned into Middle schools. Some areas have 3 year high schools but most have 4 years, both of which end at 12th grade. Most people graduate at age 18.

Many states are testing students starting in the third grade but they don't affect the student except to point out where they may need extra help. Most public schools do not have tests that the students ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO PASS until High School and here in California it tests at the 8th or 9th grade level. That is you have to have an 8th or 9th grade level education to pass it. And you can take it many times before senior year.

Students may have some choice in classes in Middle school but all should by High school. Everyone takes English, Math, Science and a Government, History or other social science class each year. (Except the last two years of high school where they might not have a math or science class)

Also, in most elementary schools, the student has one teacher for all subjects and at middle and high school, each teacher teaches a single subject so they have to go to several classes each day.

This is very general and may be completely wrong for some private schools, but I hope this helps you.

I really want to do well, people say i take studies way too seriously, but is not getting good grades important for your career. i find most days im unproductive and unmotivated, and i do not know what is the cause, I am not sure if everybody feels like that. How do you put constant effort when you are feeling unmotivatedI find that I am very unfocused, unmotivated in my studies sometimes, how do I change this around?i have felt like that but won cause tried to ex force my mind.

First try to be Motivated, before study watch a movie or play PS.

as the another said: be interest in important things
I find that I am very unfocused, unmotivated in my studies sometimes, how do I change this around?
Don't try to do too much.

    Prioritse what needs doing.

Try to study things which are of interest (or things that you see help you)

    Have lots of fun.

In your years in high school how have you changed?

For the better or for the worst?

As for me the better. I used to be more insecure. I'm not afriad to roam the halls alone or sit alone at a assembly without my friends. and i realized that your best friend in 9th grade may not be your best friend in 11th. i've also developed ideas and opinion about myself and life, thiings that I will carry on with me forever. Now i'm in my last year of high school and I love who i have become. In your years in high school how have you changed?I've definitely changed mentally and physically..

I know the importance of college and i've changed my focus on what i want my career to be. I'm not boy crazy like i used to be, i realize that impressing the boys isn't my priority and i don't care about peoples' opinions about me. I got 100 haters i need 100 more! I can easily tell when someone doesn't like me, cause theres loads of fake people on this planet. I avoid drama cause it's a waste of time and is too much stress and frustration. Same thing with gossip- it's for people who are bored with themselves and have nothing else to talk about.

I've also realized how Algebra is most useless thing on this planet cause absolutely no one uses it and it should be optional. I've learned not to trust anyone no matter what cause of the bad experiences i've had. I've definitely improved on procrastinating which i know i need to stop! Fortunately i participate in a lot more sports and programs than i used to when i was in middle school. I'm 100% independent so i don't rely on anyone but myself.

Anyway people say high school is the best time of your life. Personally i disagree with that cause high school sucks bigtime! And i can't wait to move out and go free myself in college.
In your years in high school how have you changed?
I am in my last year of high school too.

Grade 8 and 9 were hard years for me; I was insecure about everything: hair, make-up, etc.

Now, I just don't care about those things anymore and I just earned an academic award from all of my hard work.

    So...the better for me.
In your years in high school how have you changed?
I agree when you said your best friends in the 9th grade may not be your best friend in the 11th in terms of females. Because every female at my school changes best friend at least twice a month. The guys are not like that.
Well uh, I'm going to be a freshmen so this isn't really the answer you're looking for... but In 2 years of middle school I kinda changed. Like I changed the way I think about like the world and the way people act and all that jazz, and I stopped caring about what other people think of me.
Well, ive only got 2 years under my belt so far. But, i've changed. Im less anoyying. Im more confident and happy with myself. I also dont feel like i need to work to impress people anymore. I also take my schooling more seriously than i did in freshman year.

Physically, i ve changed, too. Im much taller. Also more musular and manly looking. Im also hairier, lol. Freshman year, my voice was changing and cracking all the time, now its all done with that, thankfully.

I think ive changed for the better.
when i first got into high school i was very shy .. and usually kept to myself .. by the time my senior year was over I noticed that I had really opened up... however .. i didn't like a lot of my classmates ... but oh well .. now i'm going to college and i'm ready to show my new self ..

Have you ever looked at an old grade school picture and realized your teacher was actually quite sexy?

I remembered my 2nd Grade teacher as being a red haired old hag, limping to the front of the class to teach and certainly knocking on death's door. Well a few years ago an old friend showed me the class picture (we were in the same class), and the teacher was actually quite young and attractive. Probably early 30s, nicely dressed, well done red hair.

Isn't it amazing how perspectives change?Have you ever looked at an old grade school picture and realized your teacher was actually quite sexy?Yes,many times
Have you ever looked at an old grade school picture and realized your teacher was actually quite sexy?
Indeed it is. I only remember teachers appearing attractive once I got into middle school. That must be when my hormones started acting up.
Have you ever looked at an old grade school picture and realized your teacher was actually quite sexy?
Not yet. Most of my teachers were unattractive. I did have a hot sub once in highschool though
    Yuck...no*

I dont know if I hate him or love him?

The boy I like acts like he likes me and then doesnt. I dont get it. He flirts with other girls in front of me. Im constantly holding back feelings and tears.

I used to be real close to him in 2nd grade, he moved away and came back. He changed. Hes not the old boy I used to know.

    Yesterday he told me.

    %26quot;You've changed. Your the same goofy girl I knew in 2nd grade but theres some kind of look in your eyes you give me. I dont know if its a dirty look or what.%26quot;

I didnt reply and just walked away. I didnt know what to say.

He looks at me a lot but i cant give up, its a feeling of hoplessness when i try. A hollow feeling. How do I get over him? HelpI dont know if I hate him or love him?It sounds like you're jealous. Tell him if it bothers you, but frankly not many guys would be willing to change.

He's just flirting. He's not getting naked with them. Guys will always talk to and enjoy the company of other women, even when dating, engaged, or married. You need to either accept it, or settle for some anti-social guy who is afraid to talk to anybody.

Change it a bit in your words? Plzz and thxx:) (5pts)?

Right at the beginning of this novel, we find out that the main character and narrator, Deanna Lambert, has a reputation in Pacifica, California as the school slut. Turns out that several years earlier, Deanna's dad caught her and a senior guy named Tommy Webber having sex in Tommy's car. The twist? Deanna was in the eighth grade at the time, and Tommy was the only boy she's ever been with, before or since. Still, her peers and classmates treat Deanna like a punching bag, teasing her in incredibly vicious and hurtful ways to the point where she's basically an outcast. As Deanna enters the summer following her sophomore year of high school, she has just two friends -- Lee, a sweet, religious girl, and Jason, a longtime pal whom Deanna has come to look at as possibly more than a friend. The main problem? Lee and Jason are a couple.

Meanwhile, Deanna's home life is a complete mess. Her dad has never recovered from the shock of finding her with Tommy, and his response has been to essentially ignore Deanna for years. Deanna's mom works long hours at a department store to help make ends meet, and her beloved older brother, early 20-ish Darren, is living in the family's basement with his infant daughter April and girlfriend Stacey. Needless to say, Deanna's father is not happy about this living arrangement.

Author Sara Zarr follows Deanna's story through that one long summer, as Deanna takes a job at a local pizza parlor only to find that Tommy works there, too. Over those summer months, Deanna learns a lot about redemption and forgiveness, as she hurts her friends, watches Darren and Stacey's relationship self destruct, confronts Tommy, and finally speaks up about her dad's icy behavior. Although nothing truly unpredictable happens here, the story is nicely, almost gently told, the characters generally act in believable, imperfect ways, and it doesn't feel like one of those awful books with a heavy lesson to teach. Plus, it's great for the reader to see Deanna start to regain some of her old spark, since she's such a compelling, fully drawn character.

While the storyline here is a bit mature, there are no graphic scenes and little foul language. Truly, the story revolves more around the aftermath of Deanna's mistake, and how hard it is to repair both damaged self-esteem and damaged relationships. Definitely recommended for teen girls.Change it a bit in your words? Plzz and thxx:) (5pts)?You mean so it doesn't sound like you plagiarized it from this site?

  • Can i have your opinion?

lets say you had a friend since 7th grade and you 2 had 1 or 2 little fights that didn't brake up the friendship. then high school showed up(freshman year [9th grade]) towards the end of the school year (2nd semester) you had 2nd lunch instead of 1st lunch because of your schedule change.

so now you and your friend had the same lunch, so you start eating lunch with her and her new friends. (your kind of on the shy side so you don't make new friends right away) everyday you each lunch with them and then you kind of see your friend change for the worse. then in early june, she texted you saying you can't eat lunch her and her new friends she made that year. she didn't say why.

when you e-mailed her she didn't answer, she never returns anything. she even didn't say why when you have a friend to help out.

what would you do to this situation?

if you seek revenge, how would you get revenge? Can i have your opinion?I wouldn't seek revenge. She is just being caught up, I would forget about her because if she did that to you she is NOT a real friend. And if she did that you shouldn't even worry about her, no matter how hard it will be, people will do some mean stuff, but your true frirends will stay with you till the end.
    Can i have your opinion?
    Seek revenge? Don't be immature.

    You've let us to assume a lot with the words %26quot;and then you kind of see your friend change for the worse.%26quot;

Once you saw your friend changing, why didn't you ask what the problem is? Why did you let it get this bad?

I would talk to her in person and try to understand what happened because none of what you said makes sense.
    Can i have your opinion?
    make new friends

u will feel much better with some one u feel comfortable around

i did and now i see where id be sitting if i were still wid my ex bff

im glad im at my own lunch table wherei feel like i can be me
the same thing kinda happened to me to my freshman year only my friend didn't turn for the worse so to say. she became a cheerleader. she didn't really talk to me after that. we usually didn't fight so i didn't understand what was going on with her. what i did was tried to talk to her and if she walked away i let her. i understand that it is hard losing a friend when you have been friends for a long time but they aren't really good friends if they change on you after your lunch schedule changed. i know this wasn't exactly what you wanted to hear but i hope it helps. you can make new friends too just like she did.
I'd just try to find her in the hallway or something to ask in person. Then she'd have to respond. But I wouldn't seek revenge. Revenge could be used better than on something like that.
    This is classic high school.

Everyone changes when they get to high school. Some for the better, and some for the worse... your friend being a prime example.

Don't be hostile, then she has a reason to be your enemy. Just send her a text saying that it's okay, and if she ever needs you, you'll be there for her. Strengthen your relationships with your other friends and show her you can be happy with or without her.
wow what a bit*ch! honestly i would try to make alot more friends than her and try to enjoy highschool without her as*! she then will realize that you never needed her( cause you dont) and then that will make her feel like crap since she saw how easily you were doing without her. what come around goes around trust me her time will come(=
sometimes u just gotta let her go. if shes changin 4 the worst dont change as well. stay true 2 urself
revenge? dnt get to mad about it

if she was rly ur friend from the beginning

she wouldnt have turned on you....
:/ I'm sorry hun, but I understand completely what you're going through.

The same thing happened to me in 8th grade.

I was best friends with this girl since Kindergarten, we even lived in the same neighborhood and everything. We never fought really, and we always talked about everything.

Then, one day in 8th grade, I was out of school sick for a couple of days. When I came back, I was like %26quot;Hey ____! I haven't seen you in a really-%26quot; but she just ignored me and just walked away. I was really confused, it was so sudden with nothing leading up to it, and to this day (I'm going into 12th grade now) I still don't even know whatever happened. I tried talking to her, but she would just act like I wasn't there. She talked to me once after, but only after her new %26quot;best friend%26quot; started talking with me first and all she said was %26quot;bye%26quot; as they left. That showed me that all she was, was a follower to begin with.

Eventually, I realized that I was better off without her as a friend. In high school she became a cheerleader and joined up with the %26quot;I'm better than everyone%26quot; clique, which was so different from the type of person I was. She turned into a real brat. I mean, of course, sometimes I still miss the old her. You just don't forget someone who was your best friend for that many years, but I realize that I don't want to be the type of person she is today and I don't to hang out with the type of people she does.. anyway, back to answering your question. Sorry, I just sort of came a a self-realization there.

I'd suggest trying to maybe talk with her face to face. If she won't listen or agree to discuss what the problem is, it's best just to let her go. You're right, she's changing, and that happens to quickly in highschool that it's hard to see it coming. It probably hurts a little bit, but in the long run you'll be better off without her, and you deserve a better friend than that. Don't seek revenge, just let it go. Show her that it's her loss.
    Don't seek revenge.

I say just forget her. If she doesn't want to be your friend, go through high school without her. Someone like that you don't need to be around. For starters, she wasn't a true friend. Like My parents tell me, in high school you find out who your true are and aren't. So leave her be.

    How to loose weight?

As all of you know the new year is about to begin and new things are about to happen this year. I'm in the 8th grade, this 14-year-old is about 110lbs. I want to ask if there is a way to loose weight in 2 weeks (for the new year), around your belly and your thies (not sure it's spelled) without your parents finding out and your change in diet. PLEASE HELP!!! IM KIND OF DESPERATE AND I WANT TO COME BACK TO SCHOOL WITH A NEW BODY!!!How to loose weight?i would actually like the answer to that too

please let me know when youve found out

    thank you
    How to loose weight?
    do the grapefruit diet!!!!!

It works look it up on the internet.
    How to loose weight?
i run 30 min. every other day and eating healthy for a month now and it has worked alot

just don't do anything not health like not eating, diet

    pills
i dont know if this works but i once saw a tv show and that guy lost 70kgs in only 3 years!!! gosh he had to eat peach for three years non-stop for every meal
Well it starts with a change in your diet and some excerise. I just started a new diet also and I'm going to a gym. I can tell a difference already and I've only been working out for three weeks. Keep in mind you can do this and have faith in yourself. I cut out fast foods and I'm drinking more water also. I hate plain water so I get the ones with flavor. Mostly lemon. What's up with your parents not knowing. They should know so they can support you as well. It's always a good thing when it comes to taking better care of your body.

Crunches are good. I would start with 10 reps three times each. It takes time and within two weeks you can see a change with lots of work. Leg squats, do some walking, leg lunges. There is so many. Look up online to find a quick diet. You must change your eating habits if there not good.

Best wishes and don't give up.

What do you do when your mad at your friend because they changed for the worst but you already talked to them?

she and i ahve been friends since the 4th grade shes told me everything about her life but she never asks me about mine. she is a very selfish person and was on suicide watch so it makes sense all she cares about is who she is with its weired but when someone gets herattention that is all she thinks about and i don't know how to talk to her!! HELP!What do you do when your mad at your friend because they changed for the worst but you already talked to them?Tell her how you feel.Say can you stop talking about yourself for a change b/c if you don't address this to her she'll annoy you forever.
What do you do when your mad at your friend because they changed for the worst but you already talked to them?
Well, if that is who she is know, that is who she is. You will probably have to accept it because I think that if you did try to talk to her, she will not listen. Maybe it is just a phase she is going through and will hopefully grow out of, but right now, if you are not happy with the relationship you have with her, no matter how long you have known someone, you have to know when it is time to let go. She needs to realise that she is not the only person in the world that needs attention and until she does, you should keep your distance. Give her some space.

Can someone proof read it for me? my english teachers insane..?

“The walk to high school” they called it, and as I walked across the stage last June at my eighth grade graduation I didn’t know what was in store for me. That long walk was directing me into my new phase in life. In that phase, I learned so much. Like how annoying it is when people just stop in the hall ways to talk, and when I realized that teachers won’t pass you for your own social benefit. The most important one though, was that I learned that when school starts, friends might not be the same when that school year ends.

Everyday I have the same schedule, and every day on my way to Algebra, I get stuck in the traffic. Just like in real life on the road, there are road blocks, and even though in the halls there are no traffic accidents, but there are the ever-so infamous people who stop in the middle of the hall and talk. This is by far one of the most annoying things a person can do. Not only do people scowl at these people as they walk by, but a lot of times they get picked on or other things. For your own sanity and you classmates sanity, don’t stop to talk in the halls! Why people can’t wait till after class I don’t know.

In elementary school and in middle school, teachers always seem to pass students who are disruptive and who don’t do that work. When those kids get to High School, they will be in a shock because in High School, if the work isn’t done, you’ll stay in that grade and class, till the work is done. Classes next year for the kids who failed will be filled with under classmen. Also when you’re older, the freshmen seem to be even more obnoxious, and being in a class with them would be terrible. Its not that hard to do work, just pay attention, and maybe your classes wont be filled with the fish’s we call freshmen.

Friends are irreplaceable, and they can influence who you’re going to be. In middle school friends are very much alike, but in High School, things change, and sometimes they change overnight. It’s not preventable, and you’ll find yourself changing. Some friends may move, some may follow a totally different crowd, some may ruin there lives. Who knows, maybe you’re the friend who may change. Changing is a part of life, and it may bring hardships, and tears, but it will bring more friends, smiles and wonderful memories that will never change.

High School life begins once you receive that diploma. It’s an ever popular time in a teenage life. It will be a change, and continue to change thru out your years, but its all worth it. Talking in the halls is a big No-No, and doing your work is a must if you want to move up with your friends to the next grade. Change is ineluctable, but it’s a tremendous thing all the same. Life in High School isn’t hard at all; it just takes some advice and some listening. Soon or a later, that walk to High School will turn into the walk into the rest of your life, and in High School, you’ll get ready for that walk. Can someone proof read it for me? my english teachers insane..?WOW! That is fabulous! That must have took loads of work for you to do! I love it! and...I got loads of advice for High School. Thanks.

    In the last paragraph %26quot;soon or later%26quot; it should be %26quot;sooner or later%26quot;
Can someone proof read it for me? my english teachers insane..?
Can someone proofread it for me? My English teacher's insane.

    Start with that
Can someone proof read it for me? my english teachers insane..?
    1st paragraph: %26quot;hall ways%26quot; should be one word: %26quot;hallways%26quot;

3rd paragraph: don't capitalize %26quot;High School%26quot; should be: %26quot;high school%26quot;; %26quot;under classmen%26quot; should be one word: %26quot;underclassmen%26quot;; %26quot;Its not that hard to do work%26quot; should be %26quot;It's not that hard to do work%26quot; (with an apostrophe, since it's a contraction of it is); %26quot;wont be filled%26quot; should be %26quot;won't be filled%26quot;; %26quot;fish's%26quot; should be %26quot;fishes%26quot; (it's plural, not possessive)

    4th pargraph: don't capitalize %26quot;High School%26quot;

    5th pargraph: don't capitalize %26quot;High School%26quot; (capitalize %26quot;High%26quot; because it's the start of the sentence, but not %26quot;school%26quot;); %26quot;thru out%26quot; should be %26quot;throughout%26quot;; %26quot;its all worth it%26quot; should be %26quot;it's all worth it%26quot; (contraction of it is); the expression that you've rendered as %26quot;Soon or a later%26quot; is actually %26quot;Sooner or later%26quot;
At the end of the second paragraph, I'd change it to say:

I will never understand why people can't wait until after class.

Last sentence, 3rd paragraph: change fish's to fish (it's the same whether it's singular or plural) and put the apostrophe in won't.

In the 4th paragraph, there is spelled their (based on the context)

Last paragraph, make the last sentence start with: Sooner or later...
“The walk to high school” was the name for our eighth grade graduation ceremony. As I walked across the stage last June at my eighth grade graduation, I didn’t know what was in store for me. At the end of the sentence, %26quot;In that phase, I learned so much%26quot;, you should have a colon, and change Like to like, since you go on to tell what you learned.

Also, you need to tell what you learned instead of: %26quot;The most important one though,%26quot; you should replace one with lesson or thing, because it doesn't really make any sense right now.

In your conclusion, you have %26quot;Soon or a later,%26quot; and it should be %26quot;Sooner or later%26quot;.

Other than that, its pretty good.

I want to impress a girl... but?

Alright, there is the girl at my High school and I think she is beautiful. Anyways, she is a cheerleader, I wouldn't go so far to say that she is %26quot; Top %26quot; of the popular charts thought she is pretty popular ( You get my point ). I had a class with her last year; however, this year I do not. I'm in 11th grade she is in 10th ( a year younger than I ) and I don't really know how to talk to her or impress her. I'm a bit embarrased to do so, what she may say if I want to ask her out ( God it would make me so nervous to be denied ) Although she is really a generous person and forgiving. I mean she is not the bratty kind of person most people think of. I really want to ask her out, and I believe that she is probably one of the few people I have seen in my life that actually are beautiful and are kind at the same time. I see her about once a day in the hall passing by ( We don't really talk ). Here is how it goes.

    1. How to approach her

    2. What is a good cologne to wear

    3. What do I say to compliment her without being like ( Nice shirt! ) or did you change your hair?

    4. What do I do to start the move towards her ( Move - attempt to let her know I am interested in her )

    5. Should I give her contact information?

    6. What do I do if I decide to ask her out ( Formally ) and she says %26quot; No %26quot; or %26quot; Not really right now %26quot; or the most dreaded %26quot; I don't really think this would be right %26quot;.

The last one would almost devistate me but I just am so nervous to see how people would look at me...I want to impress a girl... but?good cologne to wear is david beckhams instinct.

    just play cool

I want to impress a girl... but?
Just tell her how you feel. Start talking to her, then when you think your ready, just take a risk and ask her. Your only young once! [[ : It doesn't matter what other people think, or how you approach her.. If she doesn't like you (doubt it) she'll think it through since you told her how you feel...!
I want to impress a girl... but?
1.Try walking up to her and cracking a joke to break the ice.

    2. Hummer.

    3. Well you could joke around and play a funny pick up line, But i wouldnt compliment her randomly out of the blue, makes you seem desperate.

4.Talk to her, ask her what she likes, crack a joke once and a while, But not too many, that will be overkill, Also look her in the eyes when you talk and this may take time, but help her with anything she has a problem with.

    6. Say something %26quot;Hey %26quot;name%26quot;, Want to hang out sometime? then if she says sure, give her your contact info and walk away or say you gotta go, cause if you stand there you would look dumb.

If she says says no, then find another girl, dont keep trying to win her heart, theres always someone better.
aqua di gio.. mmm i rape my husband when he wears it. honey be confident and be yourself if she doesn't like or appreciate that then she isn't worth your time. you have to be prepared, she may not be interested, you're not losing anything by asking, worst case you still don't have a girlfriend but at least you'll know that you can move on.
shes in grade 10 and you in 11 and so shed probably be excited someone older than her likes her so

    1. in the hallways whens shes at her locker is usually the best time because shes away from her pack of friends and everybody is moving around minding there own business so peoploe wont be paying attention to you

    2. dont really worry about cologne as long as your not smelly because i find most girls dont notice it

    3. try something like you really stand out from the the other girls or a straight out i think your really pretty or you look nice today trust me these things will make a girl feel good

    4. make eye contact but dont do a creepy stare type thing just smile slightly and look at her softly

    5. well when you ask her if she wants to do something and she says yes just be like ok heres my number if you need to call

    6. just be like ok thats alright but can we try to be friends and just walk it off

*remember that if you two dont know eachother too well it can scare her if you just ask her out suddenly so try to get to know her *
    1) just approach her by casually starting conversation and let it flow from ther

    2) the new nautica cologne smells super sexy buy it!

    3) a compliment should never be forced or pre thought, so just find something you genuinely like about her

    4) just continue to talk with her, once you establish a friendship suggest you should hang out sometime, just be chill. she should get the hint once you talk to her alot and want to hang out with her

5)once you suggest hanging out and if she says OK then casually exchange numbers.

    6) if you decide to ask her out just play it cool. dont make it a HUGE deal. and if she says no, then it wasnt meant to be and you should move on.

    hope this helped
    1. Just kinda be like %26quot;O hey (insert name here).%26quot;

    2. Get this Hollister cologne

    http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10251_10201_389393_-1_16403_12551

It may be a little pricey but its worth it!

    3. Just say something like %26quot;Oh hey like your nails!%26quot; or %26quot;Oh hi (insert name here) your looking better every day!%26quot; or %26quot;Oh hi (insert name here) you look awesome!

    4. I GOT THIS QUESTION RIGHT!!! Just say %26quot;Hey! Do you wanna come over sometime!%26quot; or do little flirts like %26quot;Oh your looking awesome today!%26quot;

    5. Yeah. Just be like %26quot;Hey we should talk sometime. Here is my phone number. (Writes down phone number) Here ya go!%26quot;

    6. Just say %26quot;Oh that's fine. Well we can still be friends, right?%26quot; or %26quot;Oh that's OK. Can we still be friends?%26quot;

I hope I really helped. I'm trying to get a girlfriend too!

    1. Since you know her start saying HI at least.Smile, always smile.Ask her something like how her day is going or what classes she has.Girls like questions cause they like to talk.Be yourself you don't really need to impress her.If she doesn't like you for you than screw her.She may not be as kind as you thought but she sounds nice enough to hang out at least.

    2. Cologne......Cool Water, girls like that. Or just use that AXE stuff.

    3. Tell her she looks nice.Say her hair looks nice, girls are real self conscious about their hair. They spend hours on it.Commenting on clothes is good too shoes is a good one.Don't over do it though.

    4. Start talking with her a lot more, get to know her.Try to hang out with her in person.

    5. If you two go out on a date or something yes.Movies is an easy one.Although a walk somewhere cool works too chicks like being outside.

    6. Don't set yourself up for that, be confident and if she says no or gives you a lame excuse then move on.Just keep it cool continue to say HI to her.Girls like the bad boy, the guy who doesn't give a **** and is confident with himself.Plus she's younger than you and you got that older guy thing going.

    Hope that helped.

  • What kind of person do you think of when you think of someone called Tiffany Alice?

That's my name and I was wondering what a lot of people associate with that name.

I've heard of people associating the name Tiffany with dumb bratty blonde bimbos and hookers. I'm the complete opposite. I get average, even above average grades, I'm not a cheerleader as we don't have cheerleading in Australia, I'm not bratty in fact I've grown up in a poor family, I'm not that popular not to mention the fact that I'm a brunette.

I just wanted to know what you guys think and how it changes your view when you add Alice to the mix. What kind of person do you think of when you think of someone called Tiffany Alice?Actually the first thing I thought of was Tiffany lamps and Tiffany jewelery. I don't associate Tiffany with being a bimbo name or a cheerleader name but then again I'm from Australia also lol.

Tiffany Alice is a nice combination, sounds pretty.
What kind of person do you think of when you think of someone called Tiffany Alice?
It makes me think of a boy-crazy, make-up, stupid, blonde chick even with Alice. You must be an odd Tiffany out.
What kind of person do you think of when you think of someone called Tiffany Alice?
LOL yep that is what I think of when I hear the name Tiffany. But that's just because the one girl I know who is named Tiffany is actually a dumb bimbo. I'm sure your not.

Alice makes me think of a nice older lady. I don't know why.
    wow sexy!

Well first thing that pops up to my head is skinny blonde girl with humoungo boobies and a chihuaha named princess as a pet
Yeah for some reason Tiffany just makes me think of exactly what you said, blonde bimbos. But Alice softens it up I think.

Final posting with full information: WHAT SHOULD I DO? Teacher hates me,taking license test, presenting project?

So yes I have asked this question numerous times now, but I have recieved no answers of substance. Most of you automatically judge me and assume that I am just not prioritizing school. However, this time I will give the entire explanation. Then, if you choose still to judge me, so be it. However, this may change your idea, and I am hoping that you will be willing to give me advice and feedback. Thank you. I would really appreciate you taking the time to read this; I am very upset. I apolagize for the length.

    Backround:

I created a very large project for this class. It is extra credit. I spent an excess of 20 hours working on it. Initially the teacher promised that it would be worth a minimum of 5-10% however now it is only 2%. I am including this fact only so you realize the magnitude of the assignment.

    Insight into me:

I had the project done weeks in advance, and the teacher was well aware of this. I am a very hardworking student. However, that isn't always enough in this class. I do not suck up to the teacher because I can't and also because I personally think it is actually disrespectful. I choose to be very respectful. So, because of this, my grade depends on this project. I do very well in school and accept nothing less than my best.

    Situation:

I brought the project in as requested. I was going to be presenting early. It did not work because the format didn't correspond. I further attempted to make it work. I bround my computer in, the hard-drive, passport, jump drive, saved it to a disk. None of these methods worked. She told me that she would talk to one of the other teachers who had a mac and we could see if it played off his computer. The morning when I was to play it, I came late because I came from an unexpected doctor's appointment. She told me that I could not present because I was not there before school to try it on the other teacher's computer. I politely said that I must have missed something because I did not recall her telling me to come early to try the project on the other computer. Others backed me up here. She got really annoyed at me and said that I am just stubborn and will believe whatever I want to believe even if it isn't true. At this point, I started crying. I was really upset. I had put tons of effort. I explained the situation to her and also told her how my mom is in the hospital. She didn't care. I didn't expect her to care about any of it but I thought she would accept my reason. However, she didn't. When I went back to my seat, students around me asked why I was upset. I told them simply that I was upset that I had put so much effort into a project that didn't work that I wouldn't get credit for because I was absent earlier this morning. The teacher eventually decided to let me present on thursday, the next class. I was very relieved. However, she also expressed that she was mad at me for telling the other students what happened. I asked her what I was supposed to do when they asked me why I was upset. Her response was that I should have just said I was upset about my imovie. She continued saying that everyone has choices and that I made a poor one in telling the students who asked me why I was upset what happened.

    Problem:

I just got home. My mom is home from the hospital; she had a surgury to remove cancerous tissue. I just found out from her that I have my driver's license test this thursday during the class. Taking a license test is not an excused absense. Based on the teacher's behavior, I do not know how I should handle the situation. I cannot reschedule the test because I have it in not even 48 hours and paid for a behind the wheel drive before the test. My parent have already paid for it and you cannot reschedule unless it is more than 48 hours before the exam. Thus I cannot reschedule either the test or practice.

Please post answers! I am trying to get some legitimate responses. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and answer my question!Final posting with full information: WHAT SHOULD I DO? Teacher hates me,taking license test, presenting project? If you want a chance at the extra credit, then show up for school and give the presentation.

I must admit I don't understand everything you're saying about the driver's test and the drive before the test that your parents paid for, but ask one of your parents to call them tomorrow to reschedule it to a time when you don't have to miss school. If they don't credit the money, then that's a loss your parents will have to accept because you apparently didn't know about the test in time. Driving is not more important than school - presentation or not - you said it's not an excused absence. School should be out for the summer soon anyway. Take your driving test then.

Wow, you are really obnoxious. I am copying this post and sending it to Tesoro. You got perfectly good answers but chose to ignore them because you didn't hear what you wanted to hear. Well, too bad now. Your teacher needs to know you're about to scam her, and so does the school.

One of these days you'll understand that the world doesn't revolve around you and your petty problems.

Obama's REAL name is Barry Soetoro, WHAT does his NEW name signify?

It must MEAN something to change your name!

Is Obama Lying about never being Muslim?

    How can he be trusted!?

How can he NEVER disclose his REAL NAME to the public?

Obama%26#039;s Indonesian schooling began when he was entered into the Roman Catholic, Franciscus Assisi Primary School on January 1, 1968 and sat in class 1B. He was registered under the name Barry Soetoro, serial number 203. School documents listed Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen and his religion was listed as Islam. He will spend three years at Franciscus.

Catholic schools accept non-Catholics worldwide. Non-Catholic students are typically excused from religious instruction and ceremony.

Obama%26#039;s family moves from H Ramir Street to Dempo Street and Obama enters the 4th grade at the Besuki Primary School, a government school. He was enrolled as Barry Soetoro, Muslim.

All Indonesian students are required to study religion at school and a young Barry Soetoro, being a Muslim, would have been required to study Islam daily in school.

He would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly, to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam.

    In his autobiography, %26quot;Dreams From My Father,%26quot; Obama mentions studying the Quran and describes the public school as %26quot;a Muslim school.%26quot;

According to Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama%26#039;s teachers and the principal from 1971 through 1989, Barry actively took part in the Islamic religious lessons during his time at the school.

The fact that Obama had attended mengaji classes is well known in Indonesia and has left many there wondering just when Obama is going to come out of the closet.

Evidence seems to quite clearly show that both Ann Dunham and her husband Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo were in fact devout Muslims themselves and they raised their son as such.

Obama%26#039;s REAL name is Barry Soetoro, WHAT does his NEW name signify?its Indonesian for Muslim King of Infidels

Okay, slow your role people. Lets clear this dumb little matter up. Barry is the name his adopted/step father gave him, his birth name is and has always been Barrack Obama.

Lets not jump to conclusions next time, shall we?

What I wonder is why this country has so much hate against just moderate muslims, but meanwhile has no problem with crazy fundamentalist Christians.
i%26#039;ve never heard this but i don%26#039;t doubt it. the mans a fraud all the way around.
oh, you didn%26#039;t know? Obama loveeeeeees terrorists.

geez. don%26#039;t believe everything you read. also, Obama%26#039;s name means lightning. That%26#039;s better than John-a toilet...or someone who has sex with hookers.
Is this from Palin%26#039;s last speech?

It sounds like the desperate lies she%26#039;s spewing.
he just had people call him Barry when he was younger. His real name was always Barack.
Barack went by Barry because kids are cruel and so are republicans all of your rant is one big lie you have been sheltered to the point of your detriment I feel sorry for you. =(
    You%26#039;re right. He%26#039;s hiding A LOT.

And further, the mengaji classes he attended were so he could learn the Quran in detail and be able to recite it in Arabic. Muslims also state that mengaji classes are not like Sunday School; they only send their children to these classes if they are a totally Muslim thinking/practicing family.

...However, Barry denies it all. How convenient for Barry.

I noticed they never mentioned his step-father at the DNC Convention, and there was AMPLE time to do so.. since he raised Barry for over a decade, right? and yet, he reflects back to the dad he knew for a month? why, because being from Kenya adds something that he%26#039;s actually BLACK? and people see a connection that apparently wasn%26#039;t too important to Barry -- since he%26#039;d just MET his father%26#039;s mother 2 years ago (setting about on the campaign)?

Obama may have been preparing a persona for decades, as he moved from Barry to Barrack -- and wedged into his wife%26#039;s world and community in Chicago. He%26#039;s said %26quot;that doesn%26#039;t work, where I come from%26quot; meaning Chicago -- but where, does, he, come from?
So clarify, does him being Muslim mean he%26#039;s a terrorist like the other poster said? So in other words you believe because he is or was Muslim he is a terrorist? I think you are just scared of things you don%26#039;t know about.
Exactly...how in the hell can he be trusted? We don%26#039;t even know who he really is or what his true beliefs are. He%26#039;s a fraud, a charlatan.
Muhammad Ali%26#039;s real name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. that doesn%26#039;t change the fact that he was one of the greatest boxers in the world and the same goes for Obama.
listen up first grader.....i think you need some enlightenment.

obama is an AMERICAN! and you need to accept that and move on to a logical point because frankly, that horse died months ago.
Obama%26#039;s birth certificate says you are wrong.
Does Obama have ANY associations that aren%26#039;t embarrassing or scandalous?

Obama has ties to Ayres and Dorn, Wright, Father Flaherty(sp?), John L. McKnight, ACORN, Farakkan, Rashid Khalidi, The Gamaliel Foundation...the list goes on and on.

Is it a leap of faith to believe that a man who surrounds himself with these people buys into the ideas himself? When you read Alinsky%26#039;s ideas on how to destroy the US (to rebuild it), he could be describing Obama and his comrades to a T, but Alinsky wrote his books 70 and 50 years ago!

If there is proof that Obama was in the NP party, we have a full-fledged Radical socialist on our hands, and we need to get the word out.

You have been misinformed - Obama%26#039;s birth name was Barack Hussein Obama Jr. He used the last name Soetero (his stepfather%26#039;s name) when he was a child living in Indonesia but it was never his legal name - he reverted to his birth name when he moved back to Hawaii for middle and high school.

Furthermore - even if he did study Islam in grade school, there is no evidence that he ever practiced the faith, and certain not since he moved back to the US at the age of 9. Stop repeating things you read on WorldNet Daily or whatever conservative pseudo-news site you%26#039;re getting this stuff from.
The political, media, cultural and social establishments are determined to elect the pro-status quo, anti-change candidate, Barack Obama, as President.

The power and money arrayed behind Obama seem unbeatable.

At the same time, it is inconceivable that the American people would elect a socialist President.

Obama has some explaining to do.

Slowly but surely %26quot;rock star%26quot; Barack Obama%26#039;s lipstick

is coming off with every bad decision, and by now even

his vice president candidate Senator Joe Biden had to

    admit:

Mrs. Clinton would%26#039;ve been the better pig pick.
I%26#039;m not sure if this signifies a new low for political intolerance or religious intolerance, or maybe even both. If you want to criticize a man for his politics, that%26#039;s fair game, but to do so on such slanderous grounds is shame full.
This question is relevant because it goes to the question of whether Obama has been truthful. On his claim to always being a Christian, the evidence that Obama was raised as Muslim and attended school under the name Barry Soetoro is convincing, corroborated by many facts. For example, a Christian child would never be given the name Hussein.

The Senator%26#039;s first name, Barack, is a Swahili name that has its origins in the Arabic language. The original Arabic root of the name (B-R-K) means %26quot;blessed.%26quot; In Arabic, the root word is used in many other phrases to denote blessings and to describe people who are blessed:

    * Mabruk! = %26quot;Congratulations!%26quot;

    * Barakallah feek = %26quot;May God bless you%26quot;

    * Barakah = blessings from God (feminine version of the name)

Senator Obama%26#039;s middle name is Hussein, which was his grandfather%26#039;s first name. The name, of Arabic origin, means %26quot;good%26quot; or %26quot;handsome one.%26quot; The name Hussein (now an embarrassment to Obama) is only given to Muslim children.

Senator Obama%26#039;s surname is not uncommon among the Luo tribe, one of the three largest ethnic groups in Kenya. They speak the Dhoulou language.

    Cheers,

    Bruce
there is nothing that he won%26#039;t lie about to get elected ,and why right now ,why can%26#039;t we wait till we know more about him,i wouldn%26#039;t buy a car with as little information as i have about the real barry obama.
Wake up people and look into the dishonesty of Obama

It seems like we%26#039;re missing something big about Ayers here: he is impenitent. He%26#039;s not just a %26quot;former%26quot; terrorist. In fact, he says he wishes he%26#039;d done more. In other words, now he%26#039;s philosophically a bigger terrorist than he was then. He hasn%26#039;t changed his mind; all he did was change jobs.

And how has Obama handled it? He%26#039;s backed up on his mistake, but only after he was called on it. Why don%26#039;t we know when Obama found out about Ayers%26#039; background? Because he didn%26#039;t think it was important enough to stand up and publicly denounce Ayers-- until it was making him look bad.

Still, Obama wants to brush off the question. Sure, he%26#039;s %26quot;denounced%26quot; Ayers-- with an %26quot;aw gee%26quot; attitude. But the allegation that he%26#039;s %26quot;palling around with terrorists%26quot; is a huge one, which obviously hasn%26#039;t gone unnoticed. Voters will feel it%26#039;s an unanswered accusation until Sen. Obama makes a single, loud and clear denunciation.

    1) Ayers is completely and utterly unrepentant and has stated, more than once, that he %26quot;wished he had done more%26quot;

    2) This is not the only person with whom Obama has been friendly that has an unsavory history. In fact, Ayers is not the only person who has professed a complete and utter dislike of the country itself - so much so that one wonders why they haven%26#039;t immigrated elsewhere

    3) Obama has first called these assorted people %26quot;friends%26quot;, then %26quot;like family%26quot;, then %26quot;mentors%26quot;, then %26quot;acquantences%26quot;, then basically removed himself from them entirely in some cases. That brings up questions as to his truthfulness first and to his loyalty second.

Too many questions about Obama%26#039;s judgement of people, and his loyalty to people and ideas.

It seems pretty obvious to me. If the full truth was told, the overwhelming majority of the American people would reject Mr. Obama at the ballot box.

If it was widely known that Senator Obama sought and received the support of the New Party, a socialist group, in his bid for Illinois state senate, and that his support for their positions was promised in the run up to the election, the overwhelming majority of the American people would reject Mr. Obama at the ballot box. That explains why this important detail is omitted from Mr. Obama%26#039;s biographies and website.

Senator Obama is making an attempt to seem centrist, but he is not. He has not voted that way. He has made the decision to align himself with people who do not believe that way. He has said that he wants to be appear to be a blank slate so that others can project their beliefs onto him.

Is this really the kind of person we want to be President of the United States?

And, to Obama supporters - I%26#039;m really not interested in your attacks on Mr. McCain as an answer to these questions. Don%26#039;t change the subject - aren%26#039;t you the least bit curious as to why these questions are being answered directly?
